Comic Boom

‘Comic Boom is the best night in the country for comedy newcomers’ claimed the charming compère Paul Taylor and frankly, I couldn’t agree more. Brighton newbie Rich Perry was first on and whipped the crowd into a flurry of laughter whilst Leggat & Mole’s very funny Madonna and Ikea inspired ditties made a mockery of the drudgery of middle-aged life.

The highlight of the second half was Laura Lexx whose unbridled enthusiasm and skittish delivery was additively entertaining. Headliner Simon Evans’ set was intelligent, perfectly pitched and hilarious to watch, bringing a perfect close for a night full of laughs.
