Telscombe play area to be given £20k revamp
The Kirby Drive play area in Telscombe Cliffs is to be given a £20,000 makeover thanks to a corporate charitable trust.
The Veolia Environmental Trust has awarded the money to Telscombe Town Council which will oversee the work.
It will be used to remove rotting wooden-framed play equipment and replace it as well as to landscape the area improve access to the park.
Simon Kirby, the MP for Brighton Kemptown, said: “The Kirby Drive play area is important for children and families in the Telscombe Cliffs area and I am pleased that the local council is receiving such a significant amount of money to improve it.
“I am sure that the grant will be put to excellent use and the project will ensure that the play area is there to be enjoyed by children for years to come.”
