Man, 33, attacked with bottle in vicious attack in Brighton

Two men left another man with head and face injuries after attacking him with a bottle in the North Laine area of Brighton early this morning (Monday 13 August).

They kicked their 33-year-old victim as he was lying on the ground in North Road, Brighton, at about 3.40am today.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Detective Constable Laura Carron, from Brighton and Hove CID, said: “This appears to be a vicious unprovoked attack on a man by at least two other men.

“We would like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious but has not yet come forward.

“A scene guard remains in the area while forensic examinations continue this morning along with house-to-house inquiries and the viewing of CCTV.”

Both suspects were described as 6ft tall white men of medium build.

One had short dark hair and was wearing a black t-shirt, jeans and trainers.

The other was wearing a long-sleeved dark jumper, light blue jean and light-coloured trainers.
