At The Edge Of The Sea

David Gedge’s fourth annual one-day festival promised and delivered a cornucopia of delights, with his band mates featuring in various incarnations throughout the day and the man himself kicking things off with an excellent set of dreamy pop with Cinerama. There was a saw orchestra, Turkish pop and L.A. grunge before Martin Rossiter’s devastating set caused a roadblock in the bar that was temporarily halted after the first song. CUD remained as bouncy as they were twenty years ago and the friendly atmosphere of the day was completed by The Wedding Present performing their blistering album ‘Seamonsters’ in full.
