The Preloved Designer Sale is back in Brighton, for one week only. One thousand pieces are up for grabs, from All Saints to Alexander McQueen, Whistles to Westwood, and all at seriously reduced prices. A bargain hunter’s paradise, it’s not just a place to shop; you too can cash in by selling your own clothes.

This fantastic concept is the brainchild of organiser Katie Carne, who wanted to provide somewhere you could both buy and sell designer womenswear. “Everyone loves a bargain, especially in recent economic times, but it doesn’t mean you have to compromise on style! We give you the chance to sell the clothes you no longer wear and make some cash, and also buy a new designer wardrobe without feeling guilty. It’s a great way of reinventing your wardrobe without breaking the bank.”

As a seller, it’s a simple and hassle free way of making money quickly from your wardrobe cast-offs. Drop your clothes off, prior to the sale, on one of the collection days listed below. Then pop back the following week to collect your cash. Easy peasy! “Every woman has clothes they no longer wear. Whether it’s a dress you can’t fit into, an impulse buy or a present you’ve never worn” says Katie. “Let’s face it, if you haven’t worn it in the past year, you’re probably not going to. Now you can make some money back on those expensive purchases.” At previous sales, clients have made hundreds (some thousands) of pounds in just one weekend. The sale accepts high-end high street and designer womenswear – including shoes, bags and accessories – giving the seller 50% of the sale price.

As a buyer, it’s shopping heaven, with items from Whistles, Reiss and All Saints to Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Prada, including Christian Louboutin shoes, Chanel bags and lots more, all with up to 90% off the original price. Everything is handpicked, in good condition and on trend. And with a high profile celebrity following selling off their closets, you can be guaranteed to grab a gem.

Held at The Brighton Thistle Hotel, the three day sale kicks off with a shopping evening on Friday 31st August, 6pm-9pm, then all weekend Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September 10am-6pm. If you want to sell clothes, drop them off on Tuesday 28 August and Wednesday 29 August 10am-5pm then Thursday 30 August 10am-8pm.
