Julie Hayward does some weeding

I’ve heard the term ‘frenemy’ -‘friends’ that are pleased when things go wrong for you, but I’ve got a ‘friendcouldn’tgiveadamn’.  The term ‘it’s all about ME’ was made for her. I’ve noticed,recently that if the subject isn’t about her, she loses interest fast.

She had a job crisis – they occur regularly. Everytime we’d meet I’d get a detailed account of her latest work drama – I was on first name terms with her work colleagues, though we’d never met.

M has never interested me but it started to look appealing, I discovered that boredom can be torture. I took to carrying a pin with me when we met, to discreetly stab my thigh when my eleylids started drooping, after her fifth retelling of her latest work saga.

Now all’s well with her latest job, I rarely hear from her and if  we meet  up, she’s launched off about herself before I’ve drawn breath.

I think some friend weeding is required.
