Matt Whistler on the robot invasion
This is a full alert warning. You are now on full alert. Move to higher ground. Repeat: move to higher ground and take your hamster.
The robot invasion is now underway, Mr Robinson. The Intergalactic Conglomerate is spreading its BOT wings and I, Matt Whistler (AKA Whistles) am now preparing my first 2D
Robot exhibition.
I’ve got to hold my hand up, I’m nervous; my robot world has until now been floating around in cyber space. It’s in a great venue where the robots can escape through the ventilation shaft at any point – The Brighton Media Centre’s Friese-Greene Gallery is hosting the night. William Friese-Green was an 18th Century dude who invented Kinematography. There’s a bronze statue of him at Pinewood studios.
There will be a nut and bolt amnesty so bring your bits and wear a Kevlar jacket, the robots transmogrify from 2D to 3D during a dreamy multi-dimensional moment. Who says robots don’t have ears? Well, come to think of it, Robo Mop doesn’t, it will be hob nobbin’ on the opening night of the 28th September. There will be a complimentary drink on arrival and then a full-swing exhibition with robo music and bar. If you want to get in on the Private View email landingpadinfo@gmail.com Space is very limited.
