Celeb City: Norman Cook rocks Pride

Norman Cook rocks Pride, Lauren Goodger visits Brighton & Frankie Cocozza cleans up his act

Pride and joy
Pride 2012 was nothing short of fantastic with a definite high point being Fatboy Slim’s killer set culminating in a mash up of ‘Love Is In The Air’ – and it most certainly was! Brighton’s very own Norman Cook rocked the Wild Fruit tent, after the Freemasons more than warmed it up, showing just how much dance talent our city has to offer. Unfortunately Alexandra Burke was a no show, tweeting, “Hey Guys, due to circumstances out of my control I’m unable to perform at Brighton Pride today, so sorry guys.” But to be honest, she missed out on a big one!

Spotted at the park were Being Human actor Russell Tovey and Big Brother winner Josie Gibson among others. I’m looking forward to seeing what Pride 2013 has to bring – the event just seems to get bigger!

The girl Out of essex
Lauren Goodger from TOWIE took a break from her beloved town to visit the seaside last week, and if her tweets are anything to go by she’ll be visiting again soon. The reality TV star, who has recently been involved in high-profile spats with fellow TOWIE babe Jess Wright – the sister of Lauren’s ex-boyfriend Mark – looked carefree as she enjoyed what our city has to offer. Brighton provided her a with a bit of much needed R’n’R as she got her hair blow dried and visited the Lanes Health and Beauty for a beautiful gel manicure. Brighton resident Katie Price has also been helping Lauren relax after her turbulent time at TOWIE, inviting her to dine with them for boyfriend Leandro’s birthday recently. The two attended a Jeans for Genes fundraiser together, but shunned the rest of Lauren’s cast mates in favour of spending time with Katie’s entourage. Perhaps Lauren is starting to realise that really The Only Way Is Brighton?

Frankie says relax
As we settle into another series of The X Factor, Brighton bad boy Frankie Cocozza – who was famously booted off last year’s show for his partying antics – has shocked the public by debuting a whole new, grown-up image.

Known best for his floppy hair and low slung skinny jeans, Frankie posed in Reveal magazine in a suit, tie, shiny shoes and – god forbid – a slightly neater hair do! In his interview with the magazine Frankie spoke about his Celebrity Big Brother win and opened up about the shocking death of his friend Connor Saunders this year. Reeling from the ups and downs of his turbulent life Frankie embarked on an epic blow-out, which finally led to him deciding to clean up his act. After words from family, and of course best pal Gary Barlow (who mentored Frankie on The X Factor last year) Frankie has vowed to leave his party ways behind him and concentrate on his music. Well if he can put as much effort into his singing career as he has in hitting the clubs then we can only imagine the chaos the ex-Longhill pupil will wreak on the charts!
