Dying Fetus + Job For A Cowboy

Ah, Sundays. A bit of a lay-in, mow the lawn, catch Songs of Praise, then pop out to see US death metallers Dying Fetus. Pretty standard, right? Well, for this meager yet faithful crowd at least, these technically accomplished heavy acts seemed the natural tonic for the week. With support from powerful yapping/blastbeat fanatics, Arizona’s Job For A Cowboy, the headliners greeted a nicely worked-up crowd. Conjuring circle pits with pop classics ‘Your Treachery Will Die With You’, ‘Subjected To A Beating’ and ‘Skullf***ed’, Dying Fetus, though not hugely original, provided a satisfying old-school set, enjoyably brimming with hook-laden grooves, that grindcore essential every fan came to hear.
