Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Festival launch
The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival launched with a celebration of its 10th anniversary. The first event of the Autumn Harvest was Make Your Case, hosted by Latest’s Andrew Kay. It was a total sellout and in a moment of spontaneous striptease (not him), Andrew managed to raise £338 from guests towards Rockinghorse, the festival’s chosen charity for 2012.

World Suicide Prevention Day
On Monday 10 September the local charity Grassroots Suicide Prevention launched ‘Suicide Safer Brighton’ at the Latest Musicbar. The event was a collaborative campaign to designate Brighton and Hove as a suicide safer community. Some of the evening’s guest speakers included Irish singer/songwriter Sinead O’Connor and Brighton’s very own Marathon Man Kevin Betts.
