Lloyd Langford – One Day In The Life Of Lloyd Owen Langford
It’s rare to find a performer who can successfully bridge the divide between the two most prevalent current styles of comedy (the ‘shouty, aggressive, offensive’ style, and the ‘friendly, smiley, pleasant’ style), but Lloyd Langford has this nailed. He quickly reassured the audience that he’s “not Frankie Boyle”, and his child-like giggling and friendly nature sparking a warm, relaxed atmosphere. But Langford coupled this with much riskier material – a tale about almost being gang raped by camels, why he believes blind people should be made to pick up dog poo, and the cruelty of circumcision – creating a refreshing, and thoroughly entertaining show. Top stuff.
