Marine Life: walk for Macmillan Cancer Support

Brighton Marina is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support to raise money to build the vital information and support centre opposite the Royal Sussex Hospital. The Sussex Macmillan Centre will serve people affected by Cancer across Sussex. With £3.7 million to raise we need your help*.

Macmillan is encouraging everyone to come together and walk for someone
they love, to support people with cancer.

The new Brighton Marina walk is just one of over 55 miles for Macmillan walks organised with support from Boots UK. This new walk takes place on Sunday 14 October and offers two picturesque routes of three and eight miles – taking in pretty villages, great views and attractive wildlife. We will be starting and finishing at the Master Mariner Pub based in Marina Square at Brighton Marina, a great opportunity to purchase drinks and lunch to re-fuel.

Macmillan’s Fundraising Manager, Ben Ahmed, says: “This new walk is a great excuse to get together with friends and family to celebrate loved ones who have been affected by cancer or just to get out and about and have fun.”
Come and join a movement within your local community that can really make a difference. It couldn’t be easier to take part; simply visit macmillan.org.uk/brightonwalk for more information and to register or call a member of the Macmillan team on 0300 1000 200.
If you can’t take part but fancy volunteering on the day email walking@macmillan.org.uk.

*If you’d like your fundraising to be directed to the Sussex appeal please get in touch on the Macmillan number and email above.
