Shappi Khorsandi: Dirty Looks & Hopscotch
Hyper, funny and charming, seeing Shappi Khorsandi was like spending an evening with your best friend. It certainly felt like that by the end as she shared everything from her childhood view of romance to her recent 50 Shades-style fling with a rock star. Women related to it; men held on her every word in fascination. As she shared some stories you could hear a pin drop as we listened in anticipation. The punchline followed and hit the mark (funny bone) every time. I didn’t laugh hysterically as I have done with some comedians but I smiled throughout with Shappi being consistent and on top form. With motherhood and family values thrown into the mix, this was like catching up with Carrie, Samantha and co from Sex & The City – all six seasons thrown into a whirlwind, hour-long show.
