Mama Rosin + Random Canyon Growlers

Following a roof-raising, headline-worthy set from an on fire Wyoming string band would have scuppered many bands but the Swiss swamp rockers just cranked it up with selections from their new Jon Spencer-produced album. The trio showed their dexterity on various instruments but it was the battle between squeezebox and heavy-duty boogie guitar that was the template for their infectious sound. Their voices were spot on for a couple of ’60s surfy numbers and the Cajun stompers were augmented with whoops from the enthusiastic dancers. Like all good-time bands, they played amongst the audience before ending the encore with a New Orleans voodoo blues.
