Suzi Ruffell – Let’s Get Ready To Ruffell

‘Likeable’ is a term bandied about too freely these days, which never seems like much of a crime until you see someone like Suzi Ruffell who is so likeable that by the end of the show she feels like that school friend you wish you had so you could go for a drink after the show. Full of energy that managed to invigorate a quiet Tuesday early evening crowd, she painted some fab tales of family, friends and searching for love that were both easily identifiable and yet very personal to her. It’s a great talent to be able to manifest an individual’s story without marginalising a single member of her audience. There were gaps in the laughter, but never in the attention. One to watch.
