Josie Long – Romance and Adventure
A Josie Long show is a charmingly earnest, almost religious experience. A firm believer in political change and in making a difference, her advocacy extends to folding a little zine for every audience member full of cartoons, links and book recommendations. This thoughtful evening, featuring witty asides in the voice of a Martini-sipping 1930s broad, included astonishing statistics about the government’s cuts, an unexpectedly edgy impression of Ed Miliband revealing his true colours, and an hilariously terrifying impersonation of a Tory so disconcerting that one audience member leapt from his seat, blundered across the stage and fled in fear.
