The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice

Bonfire-night, sparkle, crackers and a banshee. Forget Lewes or Battle, they were all on stage in Eastbourne, the kitchen sink and pyrotechnics (after all, they do burn the house down)! Most of all there is an extraordinary musical entertainment. Jess Robinson astonishes as L.V. herself and Beverley Callard shocks, amuses and acts her striped socks off as Mari, the mother from hell. Comedy and drama, love and bitterness, these women bare their souls, L.V. in song and Mari with foul-mouthed poetry. Their men, Ray Quinn and Philip Andrew, shine as bright whenever they get a word in. I loved it!
