The Space – Jon Plowman and Deborah Nadoolman Landis
Space booker Wayne Imms excelled himself with tonight’s guests: a major TV comedy producer and an Oscar-nominated costume designer and curator of the record-breaking V&A Hollywood Costume exhibition. Briggy Smale’s first guest, Jon Plowman, animatedly regaled anecdotes of when Richard met Judy, having The Office pitched to him and tales from Royston Vasey before Deborah Landis took to the stage (with husband John contributing off-stage). A passionate and forthright speaker, she shared her insights into the design process and her struggle to complete the exhibition, along with detailed accounts of working with Spielberg in her twenties through to dressing Jacko on Thriller. An enthralling evening.
