Christmas lights switch on in Brighton
The switching on of the Brighton City Centre Christmas Lights took place on 15 November 2012. The beautiful lights bringing the Christmas atmosphere to Brighton are paid for by the businesses of “Brilliant Brighton”. The Brighton Business Improvement District (BID) Manager Gavin Stewart explained that this year the festive atmosphere organised at East Street would be even more a party for the citizens and therefore no VIPs as such were invited. However, local talent was seen in the form of Juice FM Breakfast Show presenters Dan Gasser and Foxy, who were on stage as the MCs for the evening. The evening started with Latin atmosphere created by the Silver Sounds Samba Band and the Ole Ole Dancers. They warmed up the crowd that was shivering in the November cold before Foxy and Dan announced the raffle winners.
