Penetrator
Penetrator is an extremely strong three hander play which highlights what can happen when drugs, paranoia and the army dangerously combine. Anthony Neilson takes three friends reflecting on past memories and deliberately makes the audience uncomfortable as the reality of their mental health states are revealed.
All three actors ably dealt with the storyline and the issues extremely well, however it was the occasional lack of diction and conviction from time to time which let this production down. But it was the stunning performance of Warren Saunders, who played army escapee Todge, which pulled everyone together and made the climax of the play worth the wait.
