10cc

Graham Gouldman’s 10cc are several cuts above the average 70s reunion band. Slick, professional, with a back catalogue to die for, it’s hard not to think that they sound better than the ‘original’ ever did. From the acoustic set of Gouldman’s ‘other’ songs, including ‘For Your Love’ and ‘Bus Stop’, to the stunning encore, an a capella ‘Donna’, they showed just how innovative and influential a band they were, and, judging by the amount of parent/offspring combos in the audience, continue to be. The Wild Old Men may not be so wild anymore, but they’ve still got what it takes.
