Stealing Sheep
The zoological themed line up at the Green Door Store lived up to its tantalizing potential with a stirring headline performance by Stealing Sheep.
Elephant opened the show with a set which was far from fully formed but displayed promise. The carnal vocals from Amelia Rivas proved to be the richest pickings from songs which were too safe and pleasant to sustain interest throughout.
Despite the terrible name, Stealing Sheep are a sharp and mellifluous live act with changes in tempo, dynamics and rhythms occurring at any given moment as three part harmonies ooze through the mesh. The ‘pagan pop’ trio’s mix of organic and electronic is both brimming with imagination and hugely satisfying to see live.
