The Oxford math-rock boys received a warm reception in the tightly-packed Concorde 2, opening their set with ‘Pavlov’ – a teaser of their renowned intricate guitar sequences. The band played classics ‘Olympic Airways’, ‘Red Socks Pugie’ and ‘Two Steps Twice’, yet their performance also provided a taster of new material to come. Thanks to this album preview tour, fans were treated to ‘Inhaler’ and ‘Providence’ off the anticipated ‘Holy Fire’ album, showing how the rhythmic indie-boys have progressed into something much bigger and much more liberated.
