Celebrating his 10th anniversary as a solo artist, Patrick Wolf effortlessly displayed the prodigious talent, showmanship and artistry of an musician with 30 years his experience in the ornate surroundings of St Mary’s Church.

Brighton’s one woman band Abi Wade held her own supporting with her dark, brooding melodies and multitasking playing style, which were mesmerizing in equal measures. Patrick is, however, simply in another galaxy to most (despite his humble nature). A Joni Mitchell cover, a tribute to the late Sir Patrick Moore (who was due to play on one his records) and a glorious canvas of acoustic versions from his back catalogue packed the night with moments that will leave an indelible impression.
