The Wizard Of Oz
Forget the original plot from the film, this was some weird version where Oz is a film set masterminded by the Wizard or ‘Director’. The new plot and subsequent script was drab, unfunny and failed to deliver on almost every aspect. Some scenes seemed cobbled together and bore no relation to the previous one or the one preceeding it. The dancers were absolutely fine but why dress them in something where you can clearly see bums!!! The Wizard ‘played’ via video by some utter nobody from T.O.W.I.E, does his twelve lines which somehow justified top billing and he’s not even in the theatre, at all!!! A disgrace to fellow cast members and a pathetically poor panto.
