Can you help identify Brighton burglary suspect?

A suspected burglar was caught on CCTV at a property in Brighton.

Sussex Police said that officers were seeking help to identify the suspect after laptops and cash were stolen from Marina Parade in Brighton.

The burglary happened on Friday 16 November when a number of rooms were entered at the property.

PC Jessica Terrill, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: “We are keen to identify this man who may have vital information in relation to a series of burglaries in communal flats in recent months.

“Men, of Asian appearance and smartly dressed in suits or long coats, have entered communal flats in the city and when challenged by residents have purported to be taxi drivers or chauffeurs.

“Local officers are aware and have stepped up patrols. They have also liaised with residents and distributed notices advising on appropriate security measures and encouraging vigilance.”

She urged anyone who recognised the suspect to call Sussex Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

A local man in his forties has been arrested in relation to the series of burglaries.
