Christmas With The Rat Pack

Whether you’re young or old, the music of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Dean Martin is guaranteed to put you in a feel-good mood and have you singing along. Case in point: the Christmas Rat Pack tribute show in Eastbourne. The music of the famous trio was captured perfectly in pitch and sound, but more than that, this show took us back in time to 1950s Las Vegas at The Sands Hotel. The entire stage was used to maximum effect with a large Christmas tree, stunning lighting, and the 12-piece band, including a grand piano, recreating the look of the 1950s era. Small touches like a whiskey decanter and cigarettes added to the feel and the ‘Burelli Sisters’ made the show complete. What’s more, the relationship between the trio was explored through comedy between songs, giving us more than just the great sounds of the Rat Pack. Christmas songs and fake snow added to the festive feel of this fantastic show. Absolutely flawless, it was wonderful to see these music legends celebrated to great effect.
