Brighton & Hove Albion: Gully’s Amex party proves a festive hit
By Tim Hodges
Just over a thousand members of Gully’s gang enjoyed a superb Christmas party at the Amex today (Sunday 23 December).
From comedy linesmen to jugglers and Xbox-type games to Santa’s Grotto, the Albion pulled out all the stops.
Kids could learn circus skills and ice skating skills on a specially installed synthetic ice rink and, of course, football skills in the football activity zone in the West Stand lower concourse area.
Gully and his furry friends were on hand for pictures and a brass band played in the Bupa Lounge.
But the highlight for most kids – and parents – was meeting Gus Poyet and his entire first team squad.
The Albion boss and his players stood patiently signing autographs and posing for pictures throughout the afternoon.
Almost everyone who left the Amex when the event was over did so with a smile on their face.
The afternoon appeared to be a great success for the club and was free to Gully’s Gang members.
It was yet another example of how very proud the city of Brighton and Hove can be of the Albion.
