Brighton tourist attraction backs Rockinghorse with free open day

One of Brighton’s most popular tourist attractions is opening its doors free for an outing organised by the sick children’s charity Rockinghorse.

The charity, based in Preston Road, Brighton, is taking young hospital patients along to the Sea Life Centre on Saturday (12 January).

Patients and their families will have the chance to try the glass-bottom boat and interactive rock pool at the recently refurbished attraction.

Analiese Doctrove, the corporate fundraising manager at Rockinghorse, said: “We are really pleased the Sea Life Centre has chosen to support Rockinghorse.

“The children and parents who have spent time in the Alex are really excited about their day trip.”

Rockinghorse raises money for the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and also supports the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. It raises money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment.

The Sea Life Centre, in Marine Parade, is the oldest working aquarium in the world. It has recently added a “Jellyfish Discovery” section and a behind the scenes tour.
