Daughter

This London-based indie folk band began originally with the solo work of Elena Tonra but now exists with the addition of guitarist Igor Haefeli and drummer Remi Aguilella. Despite some recognition and critical success, Daughter is a band not everyone has heard of. However, various songs have appeared in popular TV programmes such as Grey’s Anatomy, Vampire Diaries and several TV adverts.

On an exceptionally cold night, their unique sound of ambient drums and haunting vocals enveloped the tremendous vastness of a church venue. With an incredibly attentive audience, the atmosphere was warm as Daughter commanded a complexity to all songs and played with effortless clarity with whoops of appreciation for the previously released and much loved ‘Youth’.
