Donny And Marie Osmond

With Donny celebrating fifty years in showbiz this year, the toothsome twosome brought their long-running Las Vegas show to town. The largely female audience may be older but they still went weak at the knees during Donny’s walkabouts. Both proved to be playful hosts and great sports throughout the slick show and even the schmaltzy moments seemed sincere. All the hits were present and performed with strong vocals – Marie’s operatics were a revelation and both shone on the Broadway segments. Donny paid tribute to mentor Andy Williams with ‘Moon River’ and the evening ended fittingly with their TV show sign off song.
