Alexis Dove takes inspiration from her love of nature to create her latest jewellery collection
Celebrate this Valentine’s Day with an exquisite piece of jewellery, designed and made by Alexis Dove. This award-winning British jewellery brand based in East Sussex has a range of jewellery collections as well as individual, bespoke fine jewellery pieces, which are all designed and handmade by Alexis Dove at her traditional workshops in Lewes.
Nature is a key inspiration for Alexis, whose first ambition was to be a farmer. After taking a degree in agriculture, spending a lot of time knee-deep in mud or on a tractor, she then travelled the world and discovered a love for creating jewellery. Casting off her wellies, she trained at London’s prestigious Sir John Cass College in fine jewellery and diamond mounting. This unusual path has influenced her collections, with designs based on her appreciation of nature, exotic cultures and ancient jewellery.

of wild roses, bellflowers, seashells, wrens, owls, rabbits and foxes. Her new collection, Helios, is inspired by the sunshine and colours of the Greek islands and can be found at the Alexis Dove shop in the Needlemakers, within the Alexis Dove online shop and will soon be seen in stockists across the country.
Alexis also creates bespoke fine jewellery, engagement, wedding and commitment rings using unusual precious stones. Like all her collections, each piece is handmade to a meticulously high quality. Twinkling diamond beads, fancy sapphires and rubies, Indian rose-cut and Victorian old-cut diamonds combine with rich beaten 18ct gold or palladium to create timeless pieces. Alexis is available for a wide range of bespoke commissions and provides a personal experience for creating the perfect piece of jewellery.
