Whitehawk locals offered free tickets for football match with Lewes

People living in Whitehawk are being offered free tickets to see their local football team take on rivals Lewes FC this afternoon (Saturday 2 February).

The offer came in a letter from their MP, Simon Kirby, who represents Brighton Kemptown.

All they have to do is take along the letter from the Conservative MP and proof of their address.

Mr Kirby said: “I have seen the positive impact community football clubs can have in an area and we are fortunate here to have Whitehawk FC on our doorstep.

“That is why, following discussions with the club, I am delighted to be able to offer this opportunity to local residents, at no cost to the taxpayer.”

He said that the offer was restricted to people living in Whitehawk because of the capacity of Whitehawk FC’s home, the Enclosed Ground, in Sheepcote Valley, off Wilson Avenue..

Kick off is at 3pm.

He added: “With Whitehawk top of the Ryman Premier League, it is an exciting time to come to a game and support Darren Freeman and the rest of the Hawks as they push for promotion to the Blue Square South.”
