The Bronx
Back at The Concorde in support of their fourth eponymous album, the LA hardcore punks came on to a mariachi fanfare – the only nod to their Mexican flavoured alter-egos. From the first chord the mosh pit erupted as the brutal onslaught of Dead Kennedys anger meets Iron Maiden power tested the venue’s sound system. Front man Matt Caughthran bigged up Brighton before throwing himself into the crowd for ‘Here Comes The ****’, one of many classic riff-laden songs. Stage diving and crowd surfing were constants as the beer- and sweat-drenched throng lapped up every throat-haemorrhaging word.
