Plan B
Plan B – aka Ben Drew – has become absolutely enormous in the last few years and he brought with him a show that offered incredible high budget production to match his spectacular rise. Kicking off the night Rudimental did a good job starting the show. Things got even better with Labrinth taking to the stage. Last year’s number one with Emeli Sandé, the delicate ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ and his bombastic ‘Earthquake’ were the peaks of his set. Then Plan B took to the stage.
This was a set of two halves, the first being a huge ’box office’ style opening of his breakthrough album, ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’. The big numbers stream out: ‘Love Goes Down’, ‘Writing’s On The Wall’, ‘She Said’. The second half is dedicated to his album and film Ill Manner, and the songs are brought to life by clips from the Ill Manors film being shown in tandem with the songs. A completely brilliant show and 100% worth catching if you get the chance.
