Doggy Valentine’s dinner raises hundreds of pounds for rescue dogs

Organisers Marc Abraham (Grove Lodge Vets) and Razak Helalat (The Coal Shed)
Brighton vets and boutique restaurant canine fundraiser was a howling success for local dog lovers last week. Owner of the Coal Shed restaurant in Brighton, Razak Helalat, and TV’s Marc the Vet – Marc Abraham of Sussex-based veterinary group Grove Lodge Vets – came up with a fun way to raise funds for local rescue centre Dog’s Trust Shoreham by holding a special Valentine’s dinner for dog owners and their four-legged loved ones.

Big Cheer 3 goes down a storm
Thank you to everyone involved in the third Big Cheer for Amaze at Theatre Royal Brighton on 7 February. Once again, the fabulous comedy line-up had us in stitches. It was a rare opportunity to see the multi-talented Phill Jupitus doing stand-up and he was in his element. Compere Ray Peacock served up the heady comedy mix of Angela Barnes, John Moloney and Raymond and Mr Timpkins. The results were a lot of laughs and a lot of cash. Roll on Big Cheer 4!
