Hove handyman charged with sexually abusing Brighton care home resident and staff

A 55-year-old handyman has been charged with a string of sexual offences at a care home in Brighton.

Paul Brown, 55, of Clarendon Road, Hove, worked at the home for eight years.

He is accused of eight offences against staff and a resident, including a charge of sexual activity with a woman with a mental disorder.

He faces a separate charge of voyeurism involving the same woman.

He has also been charged with harassing a woman member of staff and five counts of sexually assaulting five female members of staff by touching them.

Brown was arrested in December after concerned staff members complained to Sussex Police at the end of November.

Some of the offences date back to 206.

He was bailed to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday 1 March.
