Let there be Light at The Level Skatepark

The Level Skate Park will be the focus of a fundraising event this Friday 1st March.

The ‘Let there be Light’ Fundraiser is taking place at The Latest Bar from 9pm with Live bands, dj sets, a raffle and the new skatepark designs on display.

The event has been organised by local volunteers from the Brighton and Hove Skateparks Association with donations for the raffle supported by local skate and ride shops as well as Flip Skateboards, Sole Tech Industries and Fender Guitars.

The event on friday hosts popular band ‘Dub Organiser’ with members of the Resonators playing a live set and dj sets from Roots Garden, DJ Format, Theory 77, Fidel del Cutstro and more.

Skate Park Development Worker Ricardo Magee said “This is an amazing opportunity to secure some funds for lights at the new skatepark as well as being a great event to get all the skate and ride community together and celebrate the coming of the new skatepark”

The Level Skate Park has always been a popular location for skaters of all ages and a multi-ability facility for all wheeled sports. The park strong local support and will really benefir from having lights so it can used all day during the darker months of they year as well as making it safe and visible to all.

Entry is £5 on the night with all funds going into the floodlights pot.
