The Joy Formidable

“Spring has sprung”, chimed Ritzy Bryan as lashings of riffs, pounding bass lines and trashing of drumming smashed their way into the eyes and ears of the eagerly awaiting crowd. The colour of the spectrum played out to us in the form of a wolf’s silhouette, as the band set sail for one hell of a show. The energy this band produces is phenomenal, both Ritzy Bryan and Rhydian Dafydd run about the stage in an orgy of euphoria, with Matt Thomas just about holding fort. Just as this excess of joy came to the end Ritzy Bryan made her way down to the crowd. Phones and cameras in the air and out of nowhere some fella snatched her guitar and scarpered into the darkness of the crowd; howls and roars came from the front lady but to no help. Let’s hope the bouncer got him!
