Sussex’s Gingerman group raises money for local charity

Brighton’s most successful restaurant chain, the Gingerman Group has raised £30,000 for local children’s charity, Rockinghorse

Sussex’s Gingerman Restaurant group, run by local chef Ben McKellar and his wife Pamela, have managed to raise an enormous £30,000 for Rockinghorse charity thanks to donations using signature dishes and children’s menus across all four of their venues in the area.

Rockinghorse has been helping sick children in Sussex and the surrounding areas for over 40 years, bringing hope to families in challenging times and improving quality of life for many vulnerable children. Working in partnership with respite centres and children’s hospitals, they strive to make services stimulating, cutting edge and accessible for the many babies, children and teenagers who need them.

Gingerman Group owners Ben and Pamela have been avid supporters of Rockinghorse since 2011, and Corporate Fundraising Manager, Analiese Doctrove, at Rockinghorse, says;

“Rockinghorse are delighted to have this wonderful partnership with the Ginger Restaurant Group. They have helped to provide vital facilities for the children’s hospital including specialist equipment for the Children’s Emergency Department. Without the support of Ben and Pamela our work would simply not be possible and for that we are extremely grateful.”
