Modigliani Quartet

The first thing that strikes one about this string quartet is their devilish good looks, but these four young gentlemen can certainly whack out some world-class chamber music. Playing together for nearly ten years now, they performed a sweet Beethoven piece with delicately superbly intertwining parts, showing their experience with deftly handled volume and timing. The daring Ravel string quartet in F major was even better however, more challenging but all the more rewarding for it. Dizzyingly fast and ferocious, with some intricate pizzicato plucking and a soaring ending, it was a perfect showcase for their talent and chemistry.
