Valentine’s Ball

Upon entering the Dome for its annual ball we were asked if we belonged to the mayor’s party, which we sadly didn’t, but his strolling around bedecked in chains set the elegant tone for a wonderful evening. The ten-piece band were smooth and tight, playing waltz, jive, foxtrot, samba and more, to a sold-out enthusiastic crowd. Seasoned pros happily danced alongside amateurs like my partner and myself, and the staff were also friendly, offering chocolates and taking pictures. The evening was great value for money for anyone wanting to try something different or show off their dance moves in a beautiful setting.
