VIDEO: Jo Brand visits Brighton Cityclean depot in Hollingdean

Comedian Jo Brand visited Brighton and Hove City Council’s refuse, recycling, streets and parks staff in Hollingdean last week to find out about the range of courses on offer to employees and congratulate those who have achieved qualifications this year.

The City Services Learning Resource Centre offers staff the chance to gain new skills which that benefit them both in and outside work.

Jo was invited to visit the centre by GMB union learning rep Wes Lee Emond.

Jo is the latest in a long line of celebrities to visit the depot following an invitation from Wes. Others include Julie Walters, Jeremy Paxman, Dame Vera Lynn and crime writer Peter James.
