Match-day resident parking zones in Brighton move a step nearer
Objectors have been given three weeks to challenge proposed resident parking zones on days when Brighton and Hove Albion play at home.
A formal notice was published today (Friday 15 March) listing all the streets affected in Coldean and Moulsecoomb.
The proposed introduction of the zones by Brighton and Hove City Council follows complaints by residents.
They said that they had been blocked in by bad match-day parking or unable to return home.
The zones would also apply when gigs and other big events take place at the Amex Community Stadium.
Residents will receive a free permit and a transferable visitor permit if the changes take place. They will also be able to buy up to 25 visitor permits a year. These cost £2.60 each at the moment.
Anyone wanting to object to the changes has until Friday 5 April.
