Celebcity: Recent BIMM graduate Tom Odell did a homecoming gig
Brit Award winner Tom Odell, hair secrets of Kate Moss revealed, plus Adele, Rizzle Kicks & more
Top choice
Recent BIMM graduate Tom Odell did a homecoming gig at The Haunt last week. After winning the Brit Award for Critics Choice, which has previously been awarded to the likes of Florence & The Machine and (most overused star of 2012) Emeli Sande, the blonde haired Brightoner has been hailed as the next big thing. His album, Long Way Down, is scheduled for an April release, following the single ‘Hold Me’. Brighton’s music scene keeps on growing!
Kate meets Kate for a high-profile collaboration
Our very own Kate Wilson from Trevor Sorbie Brighton is always ahead of the game when it comes to hair-care, so we weren’t surprised to see her cuddling up to the iconic supermodel and new face of Kérastase hair care: Kate Moss.
Last week the high profile collaboration was celebrated with an exclusive party thrown by the model at the exclusive One Mayfair club, London. Kate Wilson was on hand to see the unveiling of Kérastase’s Couture Styling range, of which the Super is the first celebrity ambassador. Working gently tousled waves, Miss Moss showed off the kind of locks we’ll be lusting over this summer. Her first campaign for the firm’s debut styling range will appear in May, but you can catch a behind-the-scenes preview of the ‘K Manifesto’ online. Pop into the Nile Street salon, Brighton, to chat with the Trevor Sorbie team for more info!
Is Adele LA bound?
Is Adele planning a move to LA? After securing herself a seaside property alongside her London pad it’s now rumoured that the Oscar/Grammy/Brit Award-winning singer might up sticks to America. According to sources speaking to the Daily Mirror Adele has noticed the ‘benefits’ of bringing up a child stateside, explaning: “They can be outside, enjoying the weather and loving life out of the spotlight. Los Angeles is a great place for children to grow up. She could afford to put a studio in her house. That way she couldbeaver away on new music without having to worry.” It’s an interesting idea, and no doubt tempting for the Brit – who has a five-month-old son with Brightonianboyfriend Simon Konecki – but we’re not too sure we believe it yet.
Justlast month Adele purposefully declared that she would not be moving over the pond any time soon, explaining via video link from the US (as she collected a Brit Award for Skyfall): “I’m not living here by the way, just in case you think that, I’m coming home!” Please do, Adele!
Sunny outlook
Last Thursday we attended the private view of design duo Kai and Sunny’s group art show in Soho, London. Being 50 per cent Brightonian-based, we were excited to see the fantastic art works and snoop on their celebrity friends. The event went with a bang and
the exhibition runs until 6 April.

Rizzle Kick’s Snow Day
In case you hadn’t noticed it snowed pretty heavily last week and when disasters like this strike it effects plebs and celebs alike! Rizzle Kicks tweeted pictures from the carnage across the East Sussex streets as they travelled to and from a workshop they ran at Brighton Youth centre. “Snow be effin people up yo” they helpfully announced. Pretty accurate, if you ask us.
