Have you seen missing Brighton man?

A pensioner from Brighton has gone missing after being discharged from hospital.

Sussex Police said that officers were concerned for the welfare of Michael Burtenshaw, 78, who has not been seen since Tuesday 5 March.

PC Kevin Stephenson, from Brighton and Hove Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Michael is vulnerable due to his age and poor health.

“He was discharged from Worthing Hospital on 5 March but has not been seen at his Brighton home since then.”

Mr Burtenshaw was described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with short thinning grey hair and blue eyes.

Police said that he was usually clean shaven and spoke with a southern accent.

Mr Burtenshaw, who walks with a slight shuffle, was last seen wearing a black raincoat.

Anyone who sees him or who knows his whereabouts is asked to call Sussex Police on 101.

PC Kevin Stephenson said: “We need to get him the support and care he needs as soon as possible.”
