Tom Cruise has developed a habit of playing the everyman rising to the challenge against incredible odds. Didn’t believe it in War Of The Worlds, still not sure. Doesn’t stop this being an excellent yarn though, as our man portrays a humble drone in this sci-fi odyssey about a sequence of events that threaten the very survival of the human race. Also starring Morgan Freeman and Andrea Riseborough.
