Pure Love

It’s fair to say Pure Love know how to put on one hell of a show. Frontman Frank Carter is no stranger to the limelight and he sure knows how to work those crowds. The band hardly got into the third song of their set and Carter’s Dad is crowd-surfing to shouts of “don’t you drop my Dad!”. Soon after their lead guitarist ended up crowd-surfing to the back of the room resulting in a guitar solo played on the bar. The band’s sound is a mixture of shoe-gazery blues and rock with a touch of Danzig thrown in, not the heaviest sounds in the world of rock ‘n’ roll yet the Concorde housed a full size circle pit. The pinnacle of the show was when the drummer moved the whole drum kit into the crowd and got knocked off his seat meaning they had to start ‘Riot Song’ again and redirect the circle pit further back so the drummer could do his job. If you haven’t seen Pure Love play yet you have missed out on one the UK’s worst kept secrets.
