Alun Cochrane – ‘Moments of Alun’
Despite the sparse crowd (come on Worthing what the hell is up with you!!!!), Cochrane delivered a first class evening of witty anecdotes, whimsical flights of fancy and down right lies. His trademark (if one could call it that, cultivated for TV/radio purposes) is his morose/deadpan delivery. A Jack Dee of the North. Live though was very different, proving there was decidedly more to his talent and delivery then just the pigeon-holed Northern curmudgeon. For me it was his ability to glean comedy from the tiniest part of modernity that stood out; whippets, house moves, bowel movements, car journeys, red wine and all points in-between. Top notch comedy.
