Brighton Marathon
Brighton Marathon took place on Sunday 14 April with runners of all ages and abilities taking part, including 62 runners raising funds for The Martlets Hospice. Meanwhile, up to 2,000 local volunteers including around 100 American Express employees, supported the 10,000 runners on the day.

Artists Open Houses Launch
Friday 12 April saw the official launch of this years’ Artists Open Houses festival with a VIP launch party for all the Open House venues and AOH festival partners and supporters.
The party included inspirational speeches from Phelim Mac Cafferty, deputy leader of Brighton & Hove City Council; Simon Martin, Head of Curatorial Services at Pallant House Gallery; Mike Weatherley, Hove & Portslade MP; and Festival Director, Judy Stevens.
The Festival runs on the first four weekends in May.

Powder Beauty Beauty & Wine Evening
Brighton salon The Powder Beauty Boutique, on Duke Street, Brighton, teamed up with Gallo Family Vineyards on Thursday 4 April to host an indulgent pampering evening. Guests enjoyed beauty discounts of 40% and complimentary glasses of wine, with the Gallo Summer Red being the most popular drink on the night.

Brighton Big Fish & Chip Challenge
Event Planner Mark Jenkins, 29 from Peacehaven, conquered a massive 6lb portion of fish and chips in one hour on Thursday 18 April, and raised £236 for Rockinghorse children’s charity in the process.
The Brighton Big Fish & Chip Challenge created by The Stag Company with the help of Brighton’s oldest Fish and Chip Restaurant Bardsley’s on Baker Street, was a great success.
